            To God be the glory for His mercies over our lives. I considered this as a great opportunity to add my quarter for the development of our dear Diocese.

OVERCOMING LAZINESS AMONG THE YOUTH AND THE  REWARD OF HARDWORK

(Being the text of a paper presented by Dr. D. N. Tsado at Doko Diocesan Youth at Christmas 2013 held at Cathedral Church of St. Peter Doko on 28th December, 2013)

            INTRODUCTION

$1         There are three words here that must be properly understood before we can derive any meaning from this topic; Laziness, youth and hard work. It is not possible for a person to be lazy and the same time be describe as a hardworking man.

$1         We found ourselves at a time when things are exceedingly difficult and Government can no longer provide for everybody all the necessities of life.

Hannah—Faithful in Prayer

INTRODUCTION

Many people become adept at crisis praying. You know the style: "God help me!" or, "God, if You get me out of this, I will . . ." followed by future promises with no previous lifestyle pattern to hint the promise will be kept. God in His mercy frequently stops in and assists. It is good to seek for God's help in times of trouble. There can be no greater source of aid than our heavenly Father. However, God desires an ongoing relationship with communication on a daily basis.

GOAL SETTING

The greatest failure in life is to stay without a goal. There is a popular proverb that says that, “he who fails to plan, has planned to fail.” No one can cheat you of your ultimate success in life except you yourself. This can happen when you live your life without a goal. Success in life goes to the person who has the courage to set goals, the ability to organize things and the strength to execute them.

HONOURING GOD IN THE FLOWER OF YOUR AGE

Have you ever seen rose or hibiscus flower before? Certainly each time you pass by a hibiscus plant, the flower catches your attention. It normally attracts attention to itself. The colours are sharp and strong-red, pink, beautifully set and arranged. And if it’s a rose, the smell will make you turn your nose again. Each time you see one, you feel like plucking it and using it as decoration on your hair, on your hat or even in vase on your table. But the flower does not start its life like that neither does it retain its beauty and bloom forever.
